doing my 30.break south of misquite NV at a truck parking turnout.
left at George at 0745 and got to beaver UT arou.d 0930.
switched loads and other driver says he is staying there for the day sue to high winds on his route.
so he gonna miss the next trip.
so called my dl and told him and I can do a Phoenix run.

    Moosetek13 Thanks this.

North Baltimore, OH at the Petro.

It's strange that there never seem to be loads out of here to the GL region.
Any time I get to the Columbus area there might be just one load, out the the many.

And there was one, and it seems just one load out of here to get me going west.
A place I have not been to in a couple years... Oklahoma.

I'm not complaining. A thousand mile load, when most are less than half that.

That will leave me with only around 1400 miles for this week.
Starting out Monday with a thousand miles makes up for that short week.

    dptrucker Thanks this.

Not to mention, but i will...

I just missed, by about 30 miles, that huge tornado that hit KY.
I was just south of it.
And yesterday I was in Winona when a tornado hit in Winona county in MN.
I was shaken, but not stirred, by both.

It seems that I am a tornado magnet right now.

I loaded in Murray - 20 miles from Mayfield - candle ingredients, around 10 hours before the tornado hit.

What a nice day I had.

I slept in because my load didn't pick up until 1433.
When I got there it wasn't ready because they had no mt trailers, so it turned into a live load.
That saved me from dropping my mt in the dirt, which was now muddy because of the rain.
They had me loaded in about 30 minutes, so I didn't even lose that much time.

I don't deliver until Monday, so averaging 470 miles for the next 2 days.
    Easy.

And it is just cold enough here to let me idle the truck, so I can stay warm tonight.

    dptrucker Thanks this.

I got to Conti in Norfolk, NE this afternoon for a load, but it had been picked up yesterday by another driver.
    Great communication, Swift.
They had another load ready for me however, which he had just called in the Swift. So I called my DM to snag that one.
Both of them are going to the same place, Moberly, MO.

This one doesn't deliver until the 24th, so I am losing a day. Then Christmas the next day so no matter what I get it will be at least Monday before it can deliver.
I have until Wednesday to get my DOT physical, so it is coming down to the wire.

    dwells40 and dptrucker Thank this.

Be careful going into Moberley,if we still have that Walmart DC account they'll try (and fail) to get you.

Did you get that resolved yet? There is a screen inside of them that eventually gets coked up with soot and has to be replaced. It will sound like it's going to start and then shut off, usually with an error NO FLAME DETECTED.
