They say follow the science?
NO POLITICS here just plain facts here as I know it among my close family and friends.
14 people so far I know closely that were vaxed that got the COVID.
None of them had symptoms any less or severe than I who was unvaxed.
None ended up in the hospital and many of us are in the age group they say could be affected severely.
Also some have underlying health issues like heart problems and a few are diabetic yet everyone came through it about the same in the end?
This is my science as I have experienced it not something I saw from a news outlet or social media but rather real world experience.Bean Jr., Rocks, Dave_in_AZ and 3 others Thank this. -
Same thing happened with my family of 12.Rocks, Trucker61016, Dave_in_AZ and 3 others Thank this.

I suspect I may be immune.
I have at least a half dozen regular delivery customers that I do see rather frequently and I’ve never caught it from them.Pamela1990, Trucker61016, Hulld and 2 others Thank this. -

Yes
In my opinion If there ever was a demographic that should be studied for COVID it’s truckers.
From the the beginning truckers were considered essential traveling in and out of HOT SPOTS and then on to the other side of the country.
If there ever was a definition of a SUPER SPREADER I think that would be it?
Yet largely that was and is not the case?
Also the trucker population as a whole is largely middle age and up and and according to my research are largely un vaxed.
Also many are overweight along with issues such as diabetes and other health and weight related problems.
Add in lack of healthy food on the road and poor hygiene for many and the population at large should be literally dieing in the streets?
But for some reason they are not?
Although some have been sick and some have died as a whole truckers have remained to be quite a healthy population overall for some reason?
I think if they could get to the bottom of why the virus is so devastating to some while others have very mild or even no symptoms at all they could put an end to this pandemic.Bean Jr., Trucker61016 and JoeyJunk Thank this. -
I've somehow still not gotten sick from it and still unvaccinated.
Currently doing Yard Jockey work. Sometimes hang out in the warehouse breakroom, then shuffle trailers outside.
Sometimes wonder if Truckers are more social distanced and also if in the truck have more ventilation? Maybe fast replicating virus in a home, or especially a building with Central Air/Heat, becomes a virus trap?
While, I'm local, my old apartment is designed in a way that each unit has it's own HVAC and no shared central air. Maybe that makes a difference?Last edited: Dec 25, 2021

Same with emergency medical workers. If anyone should have been dropping like flies, it would have been them. But, no, they mostly sailed through without issue.
The answer, I’m convinced is prior exposure and tuned up immune systems. Exactly because ER employees and truckers work in a Petri dish environment that’s bug heaven, their immune systems have seen it all, including previous, more innocuous, versions of COVID.Bean Jr., Trucker61016, Hulld and 3 others Thank this. -
