Nope, could have been broken down. But I’ll bet you 1k on each of the next 20 trucks parked on the side of the interstate that they are not broken down, and I feel confident I’d be banking good money.

This is the new foreign driver rest break. Stop wherever you want, toss out some triangles and throw on the 4 ways and go to bed. I drive mostly nights and see this all freaking night. They do it at shipper/receiver entrances too, minus the triangles.

Don’t forget the rest areas on the off/on ramps-even though there’s spots available!

Indeed. I see it on 78 and 81 in NEPA/NJ way too often. Lots of times they don't even bother with the triangles.

Ya I’ve had to pull off for emergency bathroom break and I’m always so worried someone going to hit our truck and me have my pants down. I’ve tried to make it to the exits but sometimes can’t make it.

I had a situation on a bridge when I first started driving. Low coolant level. On a Cascadia. You get about five seconds of warning. And it’s not even a dire situation. It’s just a sensor when the fluid level gets too low the truck literally just shuts down. The reservoir was still 3/4 of the way full. Luckily I had water on the truck with me and was able to fill it back up full enough for the truck to run again. Personally I think it should be against the rules to design these trucks this way. The truck wasn’t overheating, it was in no danger it was just a couple pints low of fluid. I was in the middle of a bridge blocking an entire lane. I had to climb out of the truck and pour water in the reservoir and then it started up and took off.
There needs to be a longer warning. I had only seconds before the truck just shut off.

Cascadia's usually come with an engine shutdown override switch. You have to hold it down, or shove a paperclip or a pen top beside it. It will get you to a better stopping point.
