The medical doctor I just saw required a sleep apnea test for anyone over 40 bmi. They said it's a new rule and they can not proceed without one being done.
They gave me a 3 month card but that won't help due to the cost of a sleep test is unaffordable.
I'm in the Salt Lake area. Should I see another doctor. Can anyone recommend a doctor?
Sleep study required for DOT med card.

maybe try one of those listed.Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
Contact NASTC. Ask for Skip Williams. They can get you an at home sleep study and a zoom call with a doctor. It costs a fraction of the bs places. If you need a cpap they will send you one and get you going with it. They will give you printouts of everything you need and you can get a 1 year medical card.
Bean Jr., MOBee and BennysPennys Thank this. -
It has to be a specific office thing. If that becomes a universal thing imagine.

that's what i thought, but i do not keep up with anything new as far as sleep apnea stuff goes.
clearly (to me at least) that doctor would have recommend HIS place for the testing, and garner MORE money from it as well.teams567, Speedy356, JoeyJunk and 1 other person Thank this. -
