    What do you mean you bought a chair, computer, and a desk lamp?
    Are you to be a freight broker and asking if owner operators work with brokers? That's too lame to even sound funny...It is like me asking, I'll become an obstetrician and if so, do I got to work with women...Or so I think.
    OR maybe I am mistaken, if so, carry on....never mind me.

    You know, I bought stuff to do business, like an office chair, office table, etc... I'm really just trying to make a conversation with owner operators to see how I can make my business work.

    Did you not read the course you bought yet?
    It should tell you the owner operators' role...

    I paid $600 for the course. Now I'm trying to see if the skills I learned in the course can be applied in the real world. Im supposed to build relationships with owner operators, that's what the course talks about.

    We are the last thing for you to worry about. We'll be there for you when you ready...but you need to build relationships with shippers first. Your role is to find good paying shippers and then we'll sure find you.
    Good luck...

    @jeansebastienlentz ...Have you considered going to work for an established broker and learning the business that way?
    I'm sure your home study course is fine but it probably won't cover all the things that come up in the normal course of doing business.
    You can also post in the Broker's forum but no guarantee they'll be very welcoming.

    @jeansebastienlentz

    That's cool I get what you're trying to do.

    Are you planning on going to work for another broker or are you planning on opening up your own brokerage?

    That makes a big difference.
