Yes It is decent money for a good decent job. If the truck and trailer are fairly new then your driver pretty much has it made. I pulled reefer for about 13 years and I have been promised more than 100k a year before but never got it. I have pulled reefer even for as little as 35cpm before the pandemic and rates went way up. Now100k is very attainable but I wouldnt expect too much more. And by the way, I'm available. spotless mvr all 15yrs driving. No tickets. And I also hate automatics.

Look, that sucks. But I wouldn't have given you a job. Not because you are bad people, but because it's my equipment we are taking a chance on and I'm not willing to take that gamble. Not worth it to me. I'm not saying everyone with bad credit is a bad person, #### happens. However, I'm not gambling my company on them being the exception to the rule.LtlAnonymous Thanks this.

I wouldn't hire a guy who got hurt on the job with an ongoing injury. Because when that injury flares up when he's working for me, now I'm on the hook. Dealt with this aswell. No thanks. Again, I'm not willing to gamble with my business/livelihood.Midwest Trucker Thanks this.

I don't really care much for Gordan Ramsey. I don't agree with his views on Veganism, and I think he's a bit childish. His restaurant did recently add a vegan burger to its menu, so maybe he's changed his tune. Taco Bell has a few pretty good vegetarian options, though. I wouldn't necessarily rule either one out, though.
I've seen plenty of drivers with long hoods and old trucks with manual transmissions that can't back at the truck stops. Maybe I'm spoiled by having an I-Shift and the ability to use manual mode. I can do pretty much anything with that transmission that I could do with a manual. The only down side is that it takes slightly longer for the gears to go in. The upside is that I will never miss a downshift going up a hill. I can feather the clutch by barely pressing the accelerator, and if I do that for too long it activates clutch protection mode so I don't burn it out as easily. There is a method in the I-Shift manual that describes how to rock the truck back and forth. I have yet to have any problems with that transmission, other than a leaking line to the cooler.
But with that said, I would not recommend getting a Volvo truck. Great transmissions, but poor dealer service and communication on the average. -
Your concept is quite good I'm sure you will have quite a few drivers curious and very interested, however the down side is as a business you need to run at a profit, and this is why large transport companies have to pay drivers by the mile rather than a salary, specially if its OTR freight, the theory being the more miles run the more money made, with a salary there is no incentive to do the miles any more so this may result in more drivers not getting the job done on time which could cause loss of income on your behalf.shooter19802003 Thanks this.

FWIW I wouldn't put a vegan in my truck unless it was part of his religion. Vegans by choice tend to be stupid people.Speed_Drums, Geronimo17, Crude Truckin' and 2 others Thank this.
