Not trying to be a buster, okay?
Did you pre-plan your trip? You’re probably going to be in a bit of trouble. Especially if the plows run. -
I was thinking the same thing. Should've shut down in Reno (if heading east on 80).
I'm also thinking it's likely that CHP will run him off. 14 hours be danged. -
That's what PC is for now. Violation if he went over, but permitted after the fact if told by LEO.D.Tibbitt and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this.

It's naughty to advance a load using pc. Got to apply the adverse (trip planning) conditions rule.

He was pushing his 14. Nobody PLANS to push the 14, so something went wrong. Long day, right? It happens, that’s trucking.
BUT he knew about the weather.
Knowingly going into bad weather pushing your 14? Brain dead moment. Inexcusable. Worse case scenario is he gets buried by the plows.InTooDeep, Flat Earth Trucker and D.Tibbitt Thank this. -
Dude the ticket you get for parking in the chain area is going to be the least of your worries. The plows will plow you in. You will be shoveling your way out of there.. Not to mention u take away valuable space for the drivers that need to chain up. Go find a parking spot somewhere.
God prefers Diesels, dunchues, Don Key Hotey and 5 others Thank this. -
@InTooDeep any advice here ?
InTooDeep Thanks this. -
I did a preplan but I did not preplan a 6 hour blown tire along the way
Flat Earth Trucker, Bean Jr. and 201 Thank this. -
A 6 hour delay and bad weather looming ahead…there were still better options than stopping in a chain up area.dunchues, Flat Earth Trucker, InTooDeep and 1 other person Thank this.
