The definition of "line haul", is for the most part, you do exactly the same thing every night. Line haul usually leaves in the evening, 9-10 pm and finished by early morning, 4-5am. The stuff you bring in at midnight, gets put on the "day" guys trucks, and you bring empties back. I did a line haul from Madison Wis. to Milwaukee, 2 trips a night. Got old in a hurry. That schedule rarely varies, with weather about your only challenge. I have no idea on pay, but a local outfit here was offering a night mail run and said $31/hr. I can only imagine R&L would be similar.
