I see people filing bankruptcy for $10,000
That’s dumb and a bad long term plan

Banks aren’t in the car business and don’t want them back. If they see you have a plan they will work with you

A blip on your credit is better than banko or giving things back
Not saying that’s your plan but many companies along with rental agencies will pull credit

 

Sorry for your situation. Here are some suggestions:

• Do not duck your creditors. That only makes it worse.
• Call and ask for a supervisor - write down the names of all the people you talk to.
• Explain the situation. Do not ask for anything - Listen to what they have to offer. Take notes!!
• Decide on which option, if any works for you.
• If you do not understand something ask for an explanation or definition
• Make sure you know how each option may affect your credit score, interest rate
• Deal directly with your lenders. Stay away from 3rd party loan and payday loan sharks

Phone got repo'd.

 

Probably still has the phone, but couldn’t pay his phone carrier and they cut off his service. The only thing he can use the phone for is to cal 911.

 

Don't feel bad, I'm in the same boat. I got laid off from Central freight on the 17th. It will be after the 1st before I start my new job.

 

Not just broke but MIA also.

Yes I have been broke in the past due to credit and debt and payments. I stopped borrowing money and using credit and my life completely changed for the better. I now have something called money and lots of it. If I want a new auto now I just pay for it cash. It sucks when other people own you.
