Semi Slams Into Other Trucks Chaining Up On Snoqualmie Pass

That’s my fear chaining in some areas

 

Getting to be where No Driver can stop ANYWHERE without some fool running into Vehicles!

 

That’s why I never wait until the last stop to chain. When I see the sign that says chains required xx miles ahead I’ll stop and chain there. 3-5 miles of 25mph is better than three trucks deep in 2+feet of snow.

As I pass all those pore soles waiting a mile from the chain area I can’t help but laugh at how they saved 10 minutes by blowing by the last 3 chain up areas

 

What are chains?

 

Or worse, while spun out on a hill. I’ve been chaining up while trucks come flying down the hill beside you and it’s scary. At that point it’s a matter of throwing them on quickly and moving and not caring what the chains look like at the top of the hill as they’ll likely be hurting but you can hopefully be alive.

 

Last time i chained on Snoqualmie i had to dive under my trailer because of a 4 wheeler that came sliding by. Still cant believe he didnt hit my truck.

 

That is why I will park and just wait until chain up is lifted, just not worth it too many fools out there
