Truckers wave almost got me killed…

    …the other day I’m driving in the right lane, through town. My lane is ending I need to merge to left. I see a big work truck coming fast so I slow down to let him get by before I change. As he goes by, just out of habit, not even realizing I was, I did the ole two finger truckers wave… they went by. I move into lane and all is good, NOT. This is a big utility type truck with tool boxes etc, I change lanes behind it and I see his brakes start flashing, then he just stops. Out jumps this crazed construction worker. I
    Mumbled to myself, “oh #### here we go” I start to get out, thinking I’ll talk him down. Then from the other side, two more guys get out, one is spitting on the ground. They’re looking for a fight. I close my door and watch the driver approach my door side, yelling, “come on pus** get out, show me that finger again, let’s me see you put that finger up again.” On and on he goes. Paving back and forth he drops something. I noticed it was a fold up knife. The other two goons are standing in front of my truck. I crack the window and say. “If you don’t back off, this is going to be the last thing you ever do, get back in your truck and leave, NOW.” I think he thought I was packing (I’m not) he mumble some more, spit on the ground a couple times, then finally drive off.

    The psychos are out there. Be careful

    Contentiousness is ruling their minds. Much of the time. I pass a truck. He has to speed up. Just contending. So I have to keep going faster than I want. Until I’m out of his awareness. Then I can slow back down to the speed I was doing when I came up on him.
    I learned from a bouncer. Don’t make eye contact with them. They automatically contend.
    I’ve had drivers act all scared. Just because we met between our two trucks. Me inspecting or putting something in my side compartment. It’s getting bad.

    ...had same situation in MI 2 weeks ago , driving in the second lane (4 lanes ) @67(65 speed limit) , approaching other truck in front of me doing 63 , trying to pass him twice - he keeps accelerating , third time i got to 72 and passed him , got pulled over by DOT , had inspected and put violations (72in 65 zone , improper lane use (3 and 4 trucks prohibited ) , log violations for not putting bol number ( i delivered load from construction site , they never gave me one ...i only filled common bol with commodity and addresses ) , not marking where i had my 30min break and not putting trailer number on my log ( to be honest i never had one numbered ).... All just because of one stupid mofo

    #### that sucks, I run 71 in 65 zones all the time and never so much as a hard stare from the countless speed traps I have blown thru. I don't go into MI much though, but catching someone slower than me and then having them speed up everytime I try to pass can be quite infuriating.

    that speed up #### ain’t a joke. I hate the ones that pass you and slow down. Can’t figure out which I hate the most.

    just aint worth it man. never know whats gonna take some crazy person over the edge. lot of construction guys are former felons and aint afraid to go back. just best to keep it to yourself and not put yourself in this situation. easier said then done i know. sometimes i just wanna flip every ####### off. but you just never know . lots of people arent afraid to go to prison for murder over a road rage.. how many stories have there been this year about drivers getting killed over stupid stuff like that.
