ADP sends the check stub on Tuesday, deposits paycheck on Friday. I remember back in the day.......waiting in line at the bank on Friday afternoon to cash or deposit a paycheck. I don't miss those days!

Endorse the check, open bank's app on my phone, take a picture of the front and back of the check. The first $10,000 is immediately available in my account. Old bank (Chase), new bank (USAA) and credit union all have had this for at least 5 years.

This is right.
Every cheque in the past 6 years, I deposited using my phone, in seconds, via the RBC app.
I pay $2 a month, for as many transactions as I can make.

Knight/Swift won't let you direct deposit all your pay. It's cheaper for them to use ComData for payroll than to set up their own payroll department. ComData does this so they can charge you fees. If they let you go around the ComData card ComData doesn't get any fee revenue. Your best bet is to use the ComData app to transfer your pay to your bank account and use your own debit card for your needs. Yeah, it sucks that you have to pay a fee and wait a day for the funds to transfer but that's your best, cheapest option.

ComData can come in handy though. My current employer direct deposits my pay but if there is some problem with my check and I'm on the road they can put money on my ComData card the same day. Much better than mailing a paper check to my house or waiting for a bank transfer.

As long as Knight is still paying for my fuel. At first I had the thought of "So they pay me on a fuel card, which I use to buy fuel to make my runs, then they reimburse me somehow"
but, I realized that seems a bit complicated and excessive, even for a mega-carrier... So I guess what I could do since they don't allow 100% is just transfer say... 95% or so to my bank.

Like @North Pole Nighmare said, try putting 100% of your fuel card pay into your bank account. Also the fuel card companies allow you to transfer money from your fuel card to a bank account. I don't know if they charge a fee, they probably do.

Dont worry about anything they will take care of everything and the instructors are awesome. It's really organized and a great experience.

I also was starting my OTR with Knights. And I was getting my money via direct deposit.
Maybe something changed in recent years

I joined up with Knight Transport and will be going through their CDL School, and if anyone here has worked for them, or if you just know how this works--here is my question:

On their driver app (the place where you can set up direct deposits for your pay) it says
"Fuel Card / Net Amount" and it's telling me I will get my entire net pay on this... I assume this means I'm being paid onto a fuel card instead of into my bank account. I am able to set up a bank direct deposit but I can only choose a percentage or a dollar amount to go into it--not the entire pay.

Is there a way to get my entire paycheck into my bank account? Is this a Knight Transport thing with the fuel card? Or a trucking-in-general thing? I've never dealt with a job like this before, so I apologize for my lack of understanding.
