I drive locally and have gun license. I keep glock mounted at ready next to seat. Yes I know what the use of force means and know what it means to use when you feel your life is imminent danger. Only a few people know what that means. Side note, I’m 6’5” 230 pounds so I can pretty much deal with the usual idiot, but when it comes to what you encountered, the pistol is gonna be shown to deescalate the situ

@MACK E-6 is correct. Only wave I give is a secondary/reaction wave. Ill only wave if they wave 1st. I wont leave room for a miscommunication like that.

I agree with this! I did the two finger wave. It’s a polite gesture. He must’ve saw it wrong or just assumed or one of his sidekicks told him erroneously that I had flipped him off. Regardless, being flipped off is something we’ve all had happened out on the road. Hell I would venture a guess it happens about once every 2 to 3 weeks on average. That doesn’t give me the right to attack someone. Usually I just ignore it. Or I just smile and move on. This guy was out of his mind. Anything waiting to set him off. He wasn’t a big guy, probably about 5 foot 6 150 pounds. But there was his workers as well and I wasn’t gonna take that on. Plus he had a knife. I own firearms, but unfortunately I can’t take one on my truck. He ultimately backed off when he thought I was packing.

    I never heard of it.

I THOUGHT, perhaps incorrectly, that if it "almost got you killed", you could explain it to me.

I used to give a lot of truckers the "ONE-finger trucker wave", but I've mellowed out some, and now I save it for idiot four wheelers.

    I wish you every success.

I was just messing with ya! I was told the two finger in kind of a forward motion like you’re rolling down the road is the traditional truckers wave. But who knows if that’s accurate.

I'm more worried about being killed from
Road rage, then I ever am in a accident.
