I have a friend who used to do food grade oils. He mostly pulls meat mix or choice white grease for a different pet food account now. If you want to talk to guys hauling soybean oil I might be able to put you in touch with some other drivers.Speed_Drums Thanks this.

That would be great if u could.
They are hiring in my area for soybean oil drop and hooks. I would like to talk to someone that has some experience in it...
Thanks -
All I'm gonna say is that an O/O buddy of mine jumped ship to run for KAG. For some reason they needed him on food grade runs. He made crap money and he couldn't get back on chemicals. Gonzo he went. Hopefully, your experience will be better.

Well that sucked! What kinda money are u calling crap??
-
Less than chemicals and since he budgets based on product, it ended up being a no go.Mike528 Thanks this.

It's a big company and experiences will vary. I also have an owner operator friend running food grade out of Springfield, MO, and he is very happy overall. He's got a fairly new Western Star 5700XE and has been grossing four or five times what I make a week. If he has ever had issues with loads or revenue, one phone call to upper management has taken care of it. I can't speak for everybody in the company, but the people my friend deals with are very keen on keeping food grade owner operators happy because they are short on drivers. The CEO of KAG Food Products made that quite clear to him. You would be very surprised what certain food grade runs pay. We have accounts where company drivers are staying out 3wks at time and making close to 100k. I'm home daily and generally run 5 days/wk making around 75k. If I ran harder, I could probably hit 80-85k on my account, because there is so much work they are begging for guys to pull extra loads.

I will talk to my owner operator friend. If he is ok with it, I will PM you his contact info.Mike528 Thanks this.

That's awesome news but I would just be a company driver if I decided to hire on.
I think they were saying it's a Bunge account with soybean oil near me.
Supose to be preloaded trailers hook and go.
Anyone u know running such a run? -
That's great thanks
