Instead of people filing for divorce.. they can just choose to kill their spouse.. then they can just stand in front of a judge and say ..I know there were other options but just slap my wrist and call it good don't pay any mind that I made a poor choice and and by the way.. pay no mind to the fact they will be missed by their loved ones .. just slap my wrist and tell me to make better choices

No, because if you kill your spouse on purpose that is murder and not manslaughter. You’re creating a scenario where you premeditate a killing way in advance and then set out to do so. Which has always been viewed by society in a far different manner than causing a death by negligence

 

110 yrs is too long
10 yrs is too short
Average sentence for manslaughter is 7-10
A 28 to 40 year sentence would be in keeping w current sentencing guidelines imho.

 

Not if I use the defense ..I was cleaning my gun and she just happened to be standing beside me.. oh and by the way my safety wasn't in working order and I failed to unload it before I started cleaning it ..I know nothing about gun safety because the warnings were written in a language I can't read.. and its the 1st time I cleaned a gun .. I didn't know its suppose to be unloaded

well if a jury believed all of this you’re claiming then manslaughter would be the conviction you would recieve and in many cases manslaughter involving recklessness with a firearm will be less than 10 years in prison

My only sympathy lay's with the families that lost their loved ones & and the families & victims that got injured..
