Well the thing of it is I very rarely take the Turnpike. Pennsylvania takes a $500 deposit and it only has been deposited once.

I should have been checking the account but nothing had been replenished so I was not really that concerned. I went into the account to get a total for taxes.

The wrong tag # was on the account. They sent me a photo of the other person's truck and tag. I can easily prove that was not my truck or tag.

The supervisor said she doesn't care if it is the wrong tag, if that # is on the account, even though I can prove it is not my truck or tag, she says I am liable. She was quite ignorant and obnoxious.

I have another supervisor above her to speak with tomorrow. Probably will go nowhere, but I'll try.

If you set up an account, I suggest you double check that you have the correct tag #.

And check your statements every month. The Pa turnpike is a complete mess.

@dino soar. Here’s a good one for you. We got a bill in the mail for the Texas 1turdy (130) toll road we never ever use. The major problem was it was sent to us on the plate number on the wife’s ‘58 Edsel. They are actually vintage 1958 Texas plates. The car hasn’t run in 40 years and She drug the car out of a yard 15 years ago. Rumors were going around a dozen years ago that the state was going to stop allowing enthusiasts to register original year stamped plates to antique vehicles so to get in before the cut off date we got some new never issued ‘58 plates and registered the car even though it is a basket case future project. (The state thankfully still allows it.)
The blurry picture they showed us was a newer white plate on a light colored plastic front end car. Maybe a Malibu or something similar. TheEdsel is all steel and chrome and unmistakable ugly and the Texas plate in ‘58 was black.
Long story short it was still a pain in the rear to get it resolved. Had to take pics of our plate, the car, registration and wait for a form in mail to sign. Lol!

When it was all said and done the administrator and the wife had a good laugh on the phone and told us the car in question was actually registered up in the Dallas area. They wouldn’t say what the snafu was but I’m guessing our last name was before theirs in the alphabet so the computer pulled our info first.

Car enthusiasts will never understand non enthusiasts if I’m at the desk and something comes up for a 58 Edsel I’m taking a closer look. Hard to imagine that not stirring any curiosity but I guess most state employees just mail it in.

You’d think so. But with most people nowadays when it comes to anything automotive they probably thought it could be a new Tesla model. Lol! It was early 2021 when this happened so the employees were most likely still working in the cloudy fog of the pandemic on a don’t need to care basis.
