I’ll hafta to look it up to try to find your post that’s funny. But yea I had a coworker who was a known conspiracy theorist and he was always on that case and I always brushed it off. Then he told me about some law that passed where now companies can just tap into the camera without cause. Well that turned out to be true. And he is who was telling me all this and I tell you what the phrase that clicked for me was “building a case against the driver”. All the footage all the “headway warnings” or following too close or whatever get recorded and stored. And I’m starting to agree with him that’s not for “driver training” or safety or whatever they wanna say. That’s for them having a trail to throw that driver into fire.
FYI if you use your own dashcam

Funny you mention this. I was reading a article earlier about something similar. Some phones have a way to block unknown incoming calls. It will block all calls not in your contact list. Iphone, Android, Google phones have it if I recall. Best to google it for more info.
It was an interesting article. Supposed to help stop spam and such things that come along with unknown callers.
Anyhow..carry on. Just passing by on my way for popcorn for another thread.

God prefers Diesels Thanks this. -
Higher frame rate is better for slow-mo playbacks too.

I think iphones have the "ignore numbers not in your contacts". I have an android, a few years old. I wish it had that. The apps that promise to block scammers only stop some of the calls, in my experience.Sirscrapntruckalot Thanks this.

That’s ridiculous

I have my cam set to record video only so I have no worries about background noise if I need to hand any footage over. It came in handy a few years back before the company put their own camera in. A lady merged into my trailer, and then claimed that I made a lane change and ran into her. My camera confirmed that I did not change lanes, and it confirmed my claim that there was a steady stream of traffic to my left that made it impossible for me to have moved over to save her from herself.

Mine doesn’t record sound, I turned it off.

Thats almost as bad as when i worked for swift and the safety manager called me while i was driving to give me a lecture on the dangers of using the phone while driving.
dwells40, God prefers Diesels, striker and 2 others Thank this. -
My camera records constantly, even when the truck is off, only I can download it to my phone, and the downloads are in 3 minute clips. Few weeks back, something in our yard happened, our security cameras caught part of it, I downloaded my camera footage and only gave the company about 18 minutes worth of clips related to what happened, nothing more. I keep the sound off on my camera too.
