1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

I know Mercer, Landstar Ranger, and CMI all do a lot of overside loads out of an Army Depot. You could also check out USAjobs which is the website to all gov't jobs. Be prepared for a life story of paperwork if you want to haul say tanks and stuff like that. I am working for a family business doing this right now. Email me at bowhunterva24@aol.com if you have any more questions.

There isnt alot of government driving jobs..Like the guy above, who works for a company that hauls tanks and stuff, its mostly contract jobs..usajob's website has some jobs..Alot are for 6 months terms..There is also your local city jobs..I would look into them as well..People laughed at me when I applied at the city sanitation department...Well,I am wasnt to proud to not try getting a job driving a garbage truck for $19 an hour..

I know of a good government driving job but the problem is. Your stats says student. I believe with this position, you need a couple years experience w/hazmat. If your a veteran under 40, have a squeaky clean record and can still do PT. You might have a chance with them but don't hold me to that.

I sent you a PM with the website. Good luck and I hope you get accepted. This position is not for any driver and they will screen your background thoroughly. The last I knew, they only hire twice a year and I think the next class is in March or April.
