Let the truck idle a week ago overnight at 1000rpms. Added Howes diesel treat. Since that night I've been getting less than 6 mpgs. I was consistently getting 6.7 to 7. I run the same route everyday and loads are generally same weight everday. What gives?

Cold drops fuel mileage. Also if you don’t use fuel treatment at all but added it once sometimes it will plug fuel filter with junk . If you’re filters are close to change interval you can try changing filter .

And/or crappy fuel. This happens to me more in the winter than summer because of the cold and the winter blend being used.

I usually run same about 6.7 to 7 but have dropped to 5.6 from crap fuel.

Changed the fuel filters.....got 6 yesterday. I'll just go with cold and crappy fuel. Who has good winter fuel? T/A was clogging filters in less than 5,000 miles. Started going to Love's and was fine til two weeks ago
