It’s definitely overloaded. But you can bet your bottom dollar that the driver of the Jeep felt the wiggle and tried to correct it.Dale thompson Thanks this.

There were no lights operating on the trailer, and a bunch of crap piled on the passenger seat.TripleSix Thanks this.

I am not saying that you guys are wrong. But you guys that disagree with me, if you had to run that jeep setup down the highway at highway speeds 400 miles in perfect weather, could you do it? Or is it an impossible task?
-
in hindsight i have done 100 things that are arrogant or stupid and got away with it, It is like assuming the guy that got the dui and hour ago was the only time he was srunk drivingLonesome Thanks this.

I’m not necessarily disagreeing, I just posted a video of a vehicle traveling with improper tongue weight, in my video was the driver “sawing” the wheel?
-
I was just disagreeing with the cause of the accident. I don’t know the driver’s pedigree or how far he’s already traveled. It could have been Tony Stewart driving for all I know.
What I do know is when you see a car or pickup towing a tag trailer and you see that uncontrollable sway, it is caused by improper tongue loading. The faster you try to go the more uncontrollable it becomes. I have experienced this in real life and I promise you that no matter how hard you try you can’t control the sway.
I had an old dodge that I loaded on a short trailer. I was going to pull it with my Dakota. I made it 2 miles down the road before I decided this was going to be a bad idea. It literally did a 180 degree spin out at 35 mph. I wasn’t but 18 at the time, but I have never forgot it.
