How often do you open the cap to drain it and how much comes out?

I never did hook it up. I don’t know. Just different ideas I’ve had. I just ran the hose out back, like you did. I’ve got 77k on thd inframe now. I took the hose off. Only 500k on yours? Even doing heavy haul, probably doesn’t need an overhaul yet.

I got compressor taken off this morning and installing a new BA-922 compressor. Its a pretty darn big one!!

Went to get the turbo and they didnt have what I needed, so I purchased a stage 1 Borg Warner turbo and am currently looking for a bigger intake tube :(

Did you change your crankcase breather? Did it make a difference I just bought my first semi truck with a 12.7 and just noticed it smoking out the blow by tube and I have oil in the top of the dipstick

I don’t think they make the crankcase breather filter anymore… I ended up doing an out of frame it in 2023….

Only filter I know of is a wire mesh screen type. It’s inside the valve cover, right at the hose nipple. If it’s blowing out of the hose, it’s probably not plugged. If and when the mesh gets plugged, it’ll cause oil to leak out everywhere, and less out of the hose. You have to take the valve cover off, remove screen and just clean with brake cleaner or ??? The oil on the dipstick is caused from blow by. Take stick out, you’ll see the smoke. That smoke is oily, that’s why the tube drops oil also. Lot of times people will run the tube to the ground. That helps keep the oil from the blow by from covering the bottom of engine and undercarriage. Running down the road it gets all over everything. My valve guides were totally shot. Actually had 1 slightly bent valve and marks on the head from it hitting. Mechanic said first time he’d saw anything like that.???
