Definitely good to have a backup plan and some $$$$$ stashed away.

 

Honestly, I'm somewhat glad they reversed it again. I wanted to leave trucking anyway even though I just got back into it again 6 months ago. Sacrificing your physical and mental health to be a slave for someone with no overtime pay (with 70h work weeks and sleeping in a box) and crippling lonliness just isn't worth it.

 

Best of luck.. There are non nazi companies out there. We need a list of all the decent companies not willing to bend over for Turdeau.

 

So during the 16 hour window that the official word from CBSA that drivers would continue to be exempt went uncorrected some drivers were dispatched to the US. Those drivers won't make it back to Canada before the deadline.

In a sane world CBSA would take responsibility for their mistake and extend the exemption for those drivers but instead they will be required to quarantine and test.

What a disgrace.

6 hours to go and 6 hours to come back. 1 extra hour for traffic. Hopefully he's on paper logs...
