As far as how much it is, the company claims it's around $800 a week, im going to see about going to there terminal sometime (its really close to home) and talk to some of their drivers. I'll probably get a bunch of BS, but its a nice try atleast. Now, i know a big carrier can run for a buck a mile, but there's no way they can turn a profit if thats all they make on every load. To be perfectly honest, $800 a week sounds like it'll end up around 33 CPM..but there is no reason to speculate, it gets me nowhere. -
Also, just curious, since i have no idea what state you patrol, would he have actually gotten caught if he had gone through the scale house? I know there are some scales where they pretty much just randomly run some people over the scale and bypass others.... -
He runs in Jersey. Here's an example of what these guys have to deal with sometimes.

That is also why I try and treat them with respect because I'm sure they deal with a lot of these kind of idiots daily.

I'm not in Jersey. And either is this Trooper. This Trooper, I believe is a Maine Troop. If I remember correctly this occured in 95 or 96. I remember seeing this while I was in the Academy about crazy Sheet you will encounter.AfterShock Thanks this. -
It was OOS, damaged but not leaking. He would have been nailed at the scale for the overweight, whether an inspection would have been done, I have no clue. But when I was on a bypass route and see an over the road 53' trailers that stick out like a sore thumb it's a easy catch.
How don't I get P-od? Easy, first off I don't need to raise my blood pressure. Second, I haven't done anything wrong....yet. I loose my cool and give him ammunition to file a complaint and it gets recorded on the incar. Third, All the guys I work with get a good laugh at a jackarse when they pull the DVD and so does the judge. I've been at this game long enough to know how to handle just about every type of idiot. And finially, I was having a good day, and #### if he was screwing my day up.AfterShock and Double L Thank this. -
Heh. I suppose if i had an incar i'd probably keep my cool a little easier too..
I wonder if my truck really does have a camera recording me while i drive. They claim "some of our trucks do"....
I'd be mad if you put me OOS too but i sure wouldntve taken it out on you, its the companys fault really. -
I think what torque this guys nads was a couple of things to be honest. First, he almost had completed his trip sneaking around the scale when I appeared. So to say I startled him is a understatment. He was on a restricted route OutterSpace. He had an delivery appointment and the time he wasted trying to sneak around cut into his time he had available. I then stopped and held him up and eventually placed him OOS. So there was a lot of stuff running through his mind. He was a O/O, so this was costing him prsonally.AfterShock Thanks this. -
Double L, AfterShock and dieselbear Thank this.
