Here is all I know, they were bought by ATS out of St. Cloud, MN. The story is that the owner of Midwest sold it so it would not be sold off by his kids when he left. Cant verify it, just what I heard. I talked to one of their drivers once, he was happy and liked the company. I think that you would mostly run midwest regional stuff(thus the name). They run KW T800's, I think they have the 72" sleepers on them too. Not much, but all I got!

I'm a former O/O for them. I have nothing bad to say about them. I made good money but sat a lot which goes with heavy hauling. If you don't complain when you get a short haul they will almost always make up for it. It is kinda slow as far as freight goes. I see you live in Ofallon. I live outside Jefferson City. I got home about twice a month cause they rarely have anything going thru Missouri. As far as their trucks and trailer you can't get a better truck anywhere. They come loaded with every factory chrome piece you can get. All trucks have durabite rims and the trucks are washed everytime you get close to the office. Some trailers have some age to them but I always likeed the older ones as they had been broke in and the necks came undone easier. The best thing I like was mostly running out west. I did a lot of Decatur/Aurora,IL to places like CA,AZ,WA,OR and MT. Just a lot of out and back. Used to haul out of the port of Galveston up to Minnesota and Iowa so thats what got me home. If you wanna know more I would give you my cell number. I have a close friend that lives just south of Kingdom city thats been with them for 6+ years. Let me know if you wanna know anything else. -
You want to drive company or lease on?
The company trucks are now either the older W900's or the newer T660's, all with big Cat's and 13 speeds etc.
ATS buying us did nothing besides get us (owner ops) a fuel discount. Nothing else has changed really, thank god.
Depending on whether you are company or o/o, and whether you want to drive van, flatbed or machinery will depend on where you run and the pay you get.
Feel free to PM me if you need any other accurate information.

I'm going on as o/o, machinery/heavy haul. I'd kind of like to know if they will let me do my thing or try to control my business. I don't run southeast nor northeast. I did pretty well until a kid hit my western star in kansas april 29th. insurance is going to total it. ####### survived which is good. I was told they only have T680's for the vans, Pete 359's for my side. I hope I made the right decision. I live in Southeast Wyoming. message me if you would like. I'm going to orientation a week from monday. Thanks for any info you can provide...If I get it in time.
