    I'll take this.

Yes you get paid for empty AND loaded miles.

However the millage is usually the shortest route possible. (although not always the most practical).

Personally, I don't mind getting off the interstate though and I like seeing the smaller towns rather than counting interchanges. But you might not be able to make a good average speed on the 2ndary roads.

    Hope that helps.

I am also in the same situation; I am trying to decide on which one to go to. I think Prime offers me a better opportunity, but what do I know?. Training pay will be $400 for the 1st and 2nd weeks, $500 for the 3rd and 4th weeks, and 600 for the 5th and 6th weeks. I get a 250 tuition reimbursement on a monthly basics up until I go solo or maximum of 6 months; which ever comes first. Will be making .12cpm or 600 per week depending which one is greater. But the 60,000 mile training requirement and their aggressive sublease pressures on new drivers is too much ask for me. USA offers a 3weeks training and will start out at .26cpm after training. Both employers have the same orientation dates (11th Jan 2010) of which I am invited. Someone please help me on this.

Well , don't look to thegreatone for help . He's one of the many new CDL holders that shows up crying about not getting hired then vanishes . He hasn't been here since last May .

I know someone who drives for them and they are NOT happy, NEVER home when scheduled and I mean missing home time by WEEKS not just a couple days or so, and this has been going on for almost SIX MONTHS now. Lots of sitting when there is an issue with the truck for repairs even simple ones like a blown tire.

He has been looking for something else for awhile now as he wont just up and quit but after reading most of his DAILY problems on a popular social network that we use to keep in touch I dont think I would suggest anyone go to USA unless they had no other choice in sight, and then I wouldnt plan on them being a long time employer which might lead to DAC issues,:biggrin_25524:
