1653 miles in 26 hours. Light load, twin 150's, VN610 with an N14 460, 3.58s and a Super 10, governed at 68. Besides a couple of stops for coffee and tire-watering, straight through.*
I made it home for Christmas.
*Note: this is total fiction, I never did anything like this and you can't prove I did.

Back in the early 90s I drove from the Bonneville salt flats Utah, to Wisconsin, only stopping once in Sinclair Wyoming for a quick fuel up. So Sinclair Wy to Wis without the truck stopping.
Did I ever have to piss like a racehorse when I got home!!!!socal Thanks this. -
from Marble Falls Tx (left 10 am CST) to Sandy UT (arrived 7 am MST). You can use Google Maps to do the math. They "just had to have" the piece I had for them, like expedited freight. They were working on an office building and the previous van had delivered two polished stone twin sink countertops, and they were dropped on the unload. Needless to say the replacements were on a flatbed. There was snow on US 6, a scary ride and I got to Sandy early, before the crew even showed up. No, you may not inquirer how I made those log entries! They brought the lull, pulled off the A-frame and said, gee thanks you saved out completion bonus!
What was in if for me? NOTHING! That's why I have never done a run like that again. No one wants to pay for it!socal Thanks this. -

Back in the 70's we had no logbooks in Canada so it was nothing extraordinary to run 5 0r 6 days without sleep; crash one day and do it again. Was expected and you bought bennies by the bag from dispatch. Often averaged over 5000 miles per week. Saw 2 of my friends die and 1 wind up a near vegetable. Stupid.
Farthest I've run??? A mile thru the bushes when she said "My husband just pulled into the driveway". Found out later she wuzn't even married.
