:confused1: Pulling Trucker....you forget about the 7cz, 1mm or 5ds...sorry had to call you out ....lol.....Seriously ...of the mass produced Electronic Cats 6nz or 7cz's are hard to beat, but I love the Acerts as well... 7cz stroke with strong bottom end, 4 Bolt Connecting rods...I think they are Great.

That's a broad statement based on what facts? For 09 my mpg in a W9 475 Acert was 6.47 pulling a van.Driving habits have more to do with mpg than aero or mods or supersingles or you name it. It first starts with the man in the mirror.:biggrin_255:

:biggrin_25514: Yep. You have to progressive shift and U have to let the Acert pull down to about 1075 before u downshift and the sweetspot is 1300 for best mpg. When going through the gears I never go over 1500.This Acert is different than the 3406E but it is a beast when u get one in peak performance.:biggrin_255:

it's just that someone said the ACERT CAT's have horrible fuel economy between 3-4 MPG.

Just because someone said it doesn't make it true. Truth comes from real life expereince. The guys that are getting 3-4 mpg also have problems with the motors that they won't check out and fix. Also like Oneshot said, these motors are totally different...they weren't designed to be driven like a E model and most drivers don't accept that fact.

Couldn't agree more. Easiest way to teach a driver is sit beside them and smack them whenever they over rev.:biggrin_2559:
