I have a MiFi and a wireless H-P printer. They work great together with my laptop. Beats running a usb cable from the printer in the sleeper to the laptop in the cab. MiFi works great, even when the cell phone signal is marginal.

I've had a signal with Verizon in a lot of places AT&T had no signal . When we had ice storms a year ago only AT&T mobile users lost service . Bad part about that was people had to use their cell phones to report lost land line service . AT&T repaired land lines in the order complaints was made . That was dumb . A service man would repair a line , run across town to repair the next line on the list , then a few days later be back on the same pole he left a few days earlier . Since AT&T cell customers were without service a while they called last and got their land lines repaired a week after everybody else .

You have to check the coverage map for your home to see which service covers you best. Overall AT&T has more coverage than any other company in states, but it's far from 100%.

AT&T has a huge coverage area, the problem is, most of it isn't 3g which is painfully slow, you have to be in a pretty major city to have 3g with AT&T, verizon is almost all 3g.
problem with sprint mobile broadband is high ping times and slow down and upload speeds.
problem with verizon is 5gb data cap.
problem with AT&T is crappy 3g coverage, and 5gb cap.
I'd reccommend sprint over all others, even if it is about 36kbs connection most 3g areas. -
Must not be a lot of long term Verizon broadband users out here. I've had the service for years and retain the unlimited usage. I only recently found out that almost everyone has a 4-5Gb cap nowadays.
Sprint data services have always been excellent, and until the past few years they were by far the best (data) provider available. My beef with them has been major problems with customer service. I've had two major run-ins with them, once twenty five years ago and again about six years ago. No way I'd ever go back to them. At least with Verizon I can walk into a store and have a technician answer questions or fix things, or have a CSR take care of an issue (billing, service, etc.) and they are able to correct things on the spot. -
used 20 gigs of data on my iPhone alone last month!
downloading movies over a jailbroke 3g connection for the winnn! -
i have a tmobile webconnect plan and have the 5g cap also. tmobile's 3g network is tiny but...3g really isnt THAT big of a deal. Edge works just fine and i get that in a LOT of areas.
For some reason on the east coast i dont get much coverage at all, period. Heh. -
My carrier tried several phone companies for mobile service as choice Verizon for the best coverage . We switched from Qualcomms to Blackberrys for load info and other services and that is provided by Sprint .
The provide us with the cell phone and Blackberry . I am allowed unlimited personal use of the cell phone but I don't use it in Canada . In Canada I e-mail from the Blackberry . -
No, AT@T does not have better coverage. Unless it just my phone(last RAZR before they discontinued them) several times I'll have little to no signal, but I'll have signal on my laptop. AT@T used to have the best cell coverage bar none, but has gooten worse in the last couple of years. Like I said if it wasn't for the Iphone, I would have already left.
And for all those who claim AT@T's Edge is just as fast as other carriers 3G, or that it is fast enough, sell crazy somewhere else. I have used them all and the Edge is SLOW. Like I said, it's a shame that the Iphone is handcuffed to such a crappy network.
