Use for the road test? What ever truck is handy really. Could be a Kenworthless, A PeterPuffer, Freightshaker, Vulva, Intertrashtional, etc. Sometimes they use a loaded trailer, sometimes empty. All will either be Autoshift (with clutch, but a automatic), or Ultrashift (no clutch, fully automatic). Even if you are a O/O, you will road test in one of their trucks..
When I roadtested a class of 42 in OKC, they let me use my truck for most of the class. They issued me a truck originally that just came out of the shop, and was a open seat. It had so many problems, that I had to put it back in the shop, and told them I would use mine since I knew it, and I knew it to be a safe truck. The trailer was also my loaded trailer that I came in with, full of Dell computers. I didnt feel safe about that one at all.. They had me road test students like they had been driving for awhile... Most of the experienced drivers looked at me like I had a screw loose when I told them to do a PTI. I told them to either do the PTI, or I would fail them. Harsh, yes I know, but a needed harshness.
As for a lock goes, whatever you want really. They will not reimburse you for it, so its your own equipment, use what you feel comfortable with.
The physical? At least you didnt have the guy in Medway OH, guy refused to where gloves, and never washed his hands..
I know in Medway, if you have slightly high blood pressure, they will allow you to go into a room, and meditate, or whatever, and retest you.
As for the road test, Tunnel Hill is a bit more involved than what linadin described. You will drive to the next exit up, drive thru town, down a 2 lane highway, railroad crossing (for those with HazMat), and a parking test, you choose the spot in the drop yard, sometimes easy, sometimes not, depending on how packed the yard is.

KingHunter.. If you live in Florida, they usually issue you a SunPass transponder. But if you dont, you pay the toll, then submit them for reimbursement. While I was there, I never had a problem with them reimbursing the tolls. They also issue, as a standard, PrePass, PikePass (OK), and EZPass (IL, and northeast).
I cant say about the student pay/starting team pay, as I have not worked for them in awhile now. They DID have good health insurance, that wasnt to bad in price, but all that may have changed too.The Challenger Thanks this. -
I am looking for any information on the Lease program. My hubby is looking into dropping his CR England lease and trying US Xpress. Just alittle concerned about leaving one complete RIP OFF and getting stuck with another. Any information would be really helpful.
