What a shame. If you decide to keep it later on down the road it will be worth less of course. If you have the extra trucks it would be wise to fix and sell now.Vampire Thanks this.

Yes I did. 3600.00 dollars of damage the State paid me for. Dont care to ever experience it again.
Making a delivery to normal customer 5am on a Monday I decended a exit ramp which was under construction. I was there 3pm on Friday to. Over the weekend the construction company moved barrier wall over, moving traffic to new lane. They did not measure lane. Slight curve with guard rail on the right. If I recall it was only 10'8" in curve. It was about 7 years ago. Thankfully there is a stop sign at bottom so 10-15 mph was my max. I noticed it getting tight. So tight that the left drives and trailer tire started to right the barrier, while my right steer, hood, steps were into guard rail. I wiggled myself out and parked. Started running up the ramp. I knew another truck with the same load was seconds behind me. Got him to. His tandems were further back. Same damages plus 2 tires.
Called State patrol. They measured it and I got to see a OSP Sergeant go ape sheet on this construction forman. One time I can say the OSP backed 2 truckers. Gave them 30 minutes to move the wall or shut down the ramp. Ramp was closed for a month afterwards. It was pretty simple to prove negligence in case, with osp report. That officer was beyond helpful writing his report. I filled claim myself without attorney. But took forever. ODOT blamed construction, Construction Co. blamed ODOT. -
Update: HE’S FIRED!!
Snow plow driver fired for blanketing dozens of vehicles with slush, injuring 18 -
you say that as though justice is served. No big deal, he will go get a job somewhere else and probably make more money
-
Just stating matter of factly. I doubt he’ll get a better job, considering he costed the state dearly. If you managed to get fired from a state job then something is clearly wrong. He’ll be uninsurable for the most part.

Makes me feel better. At least he will be inconvenienced! Though nothing like he did for us. I have a new truck that is sitting at a body shop still untouched that now has an estimate for repairs of over $30,000. We are short a truck tried to fill the gap with a truck we had sitting outback needing an overhaul. Towed it to a Cummins corporate shop because they said they could have it overhauled in under two weeks. Turns out it needs a crank that apparently even a Cummins corporate shop that gets parts priority can't get.
