I contacted Great West directly to get the info.
Weird. They said to fill out the form online and within 48 hours someone will contact me regarding the quote.
I can't believe you can't get a list of agents.
I found one lead to one of the agents. But I had to leave a voice mail too.
Not easy to get a Great West agent in the Midwest/Chicagoland?
Progressive, Northland, or Great West?

Thank you! -
Finally, I got an agent who called back.
He rated commercial insurance like you all did:
1. Great West
2. Northland
3. Progressive
If Great West won't beat the Northland Quote that is where I will go. I will move from Progressive. But if Great West beats them all I'm taking that.Last edited: Jan 28, 2022

I, and the guy I’m leased to, have used Great West since 2019 after he had been with Northland for years. Back in the summer of 2015 when we had Northland I had a guy roll back into me after we loaded cattle. Typical deal, not enough room to get around, but when I pulled up I stayed back far enough to open my hood and walk around to clean my windows. He rolled back and cracked the hood on my W900. Here’s the kicker. He also had Northland and they were trying to lowball me on the repairs to my truck. The adjuster wanted me to find a used hood and grille. Finally I asked if they wanted a truck that they insure to be repaired with used parts. Anyway, no complaints with Great West since we switched.
bbechtel16, D.Tibbitt, Siinman and 2 others Thank this. -
I forgot to ask my agent if Great West gives discount if paying a lump sum like Progressive. I know Northland doesn't.

Great West also has $5,000 towing covered and mechanical breakdown. I had an air compressor go bad. Towing, motel and meals were covered. No deductible. 3 days for repairs.
I think Great West has a installment payment fee. Just a couple bucks.Beaver9 and ProfessionalNoticer Thank this. -
Midwest Casualty is an option as well. They aren’t bad and who I had in between progressive and great west.
Beaver9 Thanks this. -
Yay...Yay...Yay
Great West was the highest but dropped their quote. It's $9,800 with Great West. Northland is $10,000. Progressive is $10,400.
I don't need to pay in full as people mentioned. Do you have it deducted from your checking account on a monthly basis? I collect points and would like to use my credit card. I use these points to travel.
I raised the truck value by a couple thousands as well with Great West. Great West was $11,000 but like you mentioned the quote could be negotiated, so they did lower it down. First agent I worked with lied to me so it seems. She probably never tried getting me a quote from Great West. She might not even work with Great West.
Did you change the value of your truck since the value of equipment is 30% more. I didn't change the value of the trailer. And the value for the truck is low if I would need to get a similar truck elsewhere.
I didn't know that different Progressive agents can get different quotes. Not that it will change anything now. I want to stay with Great West. What about Northland agents? Can one agent lock the rate?ProfessionalNoticer Thanks this. -
What about Northland agents? Do their quotes vary when shopping around?ProfessionalNoticer Thanks this.
