    After searching & searching & searching for a clear picture to prove that the truck was a Mack.... I come back to say it wasn't!

    The hood ornament thru me off. The truck used was a Autocar!

    Hmmmm..... I guess if DOT can't measure it you can't get a ticket, right? How else would they calculate how over height you were? I doubt a court is going to believe you were 5000 feet over.

    that's right. I knew it was something like an "off brand".

    I'm currently waiting for a friend of mine who actually has the dvd to e-mail me a blown up shot of the truck. He told me that if I'm ever able to buy a truck like his, that he'll find a way to get me a hawk hood ornament like in the movie.

    However, i think my task is much more difficult.

    Well, according to FCC, anything taller then 2000 feet needs those sweet flashing lights...


    Dont give a trucker any more reasons to put lights on their trucks!

    Autocar is not a "off Brand". In fact, Auto Car & Marmon were the trucks to have back in the day. Unfortunately neither of them are built anymore.

    Still not an off brand. A off brand is a knock off of macroni & cheese... or Mtn. Thunder vs. Mtn. Dew...

    It is a collectors item! An Antique.
