What about hooking up a 5500 hp turbo charger to an isx15 on a peterbilt 389?

Looks like tug boats have two engines, between the two they make that kind of power I guess. The only other thing I can find is a locomotive engine.

Why stop there, just go full turbine

Thanks for all the comedic responses lol. Apparently precision turbo makes a turbo that has the capability of adding 5500 hp. They obviously make them for truck and tractor pull competitions, but I was just wondering if something like that could possibly be thrown on a normal tractor trailer for just everyday reefer hauling even though its overkill. Wasnt sure how much extra wear n abuse it would put on the engine and if I could even keep the steers on the pavement and wether or not it would probably be illegal to push that much hp on the highways lol. If it would in any way be possible and not give me too much trouble with premature engine wear and DOT shutting me dowm over it lol

Yeah, I’m not quite sure if he thinks adding a 5500 HP turbo will actually give him 5500 HP or not.God prefers Diesels Thanks this.

The engines in big ships make that kind of power. You'll have to forget hauling any freight though.
