If there is no agreement on chain pay, then of course, the driver can't demand it out of the blue. One has to honor their word and their job. If the driver feels he deserves more, then he should try to negotiate later. He will either get what he wants, or he won't. Then, it is up to him to accept the terms or not. But no "bait and switch" allowed. I think this should pertain to basically everything in life. I can't stand it when an athlete holds out in the middle of his contract to demand more pay. I think these are similar situations.

Wasn't it FUN though?!

Bungees. Did you know, that they aren't intended for tensioning tire chains, but are actually intended to pull the chains to the outside, in the event the chains gets thrown? Tjhat way, the chain doesn't damage airlines, etc. True, that.
Properly installed traction chains are tensioned using the cam adjusters. Get a 9 inch 1/2" pipe nipple, used as a cheater on the tensioning tool. -
adding: last winter I had to run over Marias from Great Falls, to Kalispell, and back,, in one night. Chains required from East Glacier to about Essex, about 40 miles each way, or so. I ran the whole thing twice that night, chained, at 45 mph each way, not a peep from my properly installed chains. Get 'em straight, flat, and tight, and it's almost like they're not even there.
bumper Jack and lual Thank this.
