My fiance and I drive team for Clean Harbors (we actually drive for another company MSR Transport who has about 20 trucks leased on with them). We make $.92/mile and get $35/hour. Basically all hours are on duty, fueling, pre-post trips, In/Out at pickup or drop locations, roadside load checks, DOT 30 minute breaks. We average around 5200 miles a week and take home around $6200. We usually earn about $1K a week in demurrage hours. We do rolling resets on the weekends. We haul hazmat loads (pretty toxic and flammable stuff) to the incinerator in El Dorado, AR and the take freight loads up to the Northeast or out to Cali and bring hazmat back to AR. It’s a great company to drive for. Quite a bit of paperwork and the training and onboarding process takes a few weeks. Their biggest priority is safety, so nothing is really urgent. There are loose deadlines with loads, but they don’t want you rushing these hazmat loads. It’s hazardous waste, so you’ll be hauling flammable gases, solids and liquids, oxidizers, poisons, and corrosives. Important to know your #### because you have to check the load to make sure nothing got loaded by some dock worker that shouldn’t be in there. Can’t say enough great things about Clean Harbors. I know several CH company drivers, some are even trainers, and they’re easily making that. One guy gets .55/mile, $35/hour, plus $55 per diem to sleep in his truck every night, he’s a trainer though. When he’s training he’s making about $2500/wk.RockinChair Thanks this.

Don't know if you are still poking around in here but I'm a current Clean Harbors driver. I'm very happy with them. The posted job listing are low and not accurate. I do OTR Dry Van and stay west of I-35 mostly I-80 NorCal to Nebraska. A bit of Texas and Socal mixed in. My coworkers who recommended this job to me are clearing $150k gross. I should be close to that. I came from a tight deadline big company refrigerated background and this is infinitely better. Feels like vacation driving at 3k miles a week and all hours between pretrip and post trip are paid. Most weeks I'm charging at least 80+ hours to payroll. YMMV
