Because he is going to have to explain/deal with you when he has to redo half of the work. You're not going to want to pay and it's going to be a pain for him.GreenPete359, alds, omardten and 2 others Thank this.

Myself I'd tell him he better send a bill because I'm on the way to get the truck on X date and its leaving his yard regardless if he's sent a bill or not.

You misunderstood me
. I said if I was the shop you were going to bring your project too... that some other shop started .. I would charge you my rate doubled to clean up someone else's mess
BTW ..JFYI .. there is a place in Oregon that builds custom wiring harnesses it's been mentioned on here before. Maybe check them out it might help you out .. I'am sure alittle screeching here you can find the name .. I know there's members on here that have used the place and got along well..
Good luck hope you get things straighten out -
Pittsburgh Power can make a harness. Kustom Truck can make a harness. Probably other options too.
-
Kustom Truck can't or doesn't make air quote harnesses. If its not listed on there website you can't get it from them. I tried to get a replacement engine harness made for a 1994 kenworth cummins n14 that cummins doesn't make anymore because its obsolete. They told me they don't make harnesses.
-
Haven’t been on their site, just personally know a guy in KS who swapped an MX13 out for a Cat and that’s where he got the harness.
-
Yeah you can get a harness from them but only for a small selection of engines. So I'm guessing they don't actually make any of them. Only engine harness for a n14 they sell is for a select plus. So my guess depending on which s60 variant he has they might not be able to help him.Bean Jr. Thanks this.

Imagine a shop where the mechanics were professionals and CALLED you with updates, SENT you questions about the truck, TOOK CARE of your truck. Heard those are only in books.

When I worked in the machine shop the boss did that exact same thing. I noticed it once and asked why he did it. He replied by pointing to a large sign on the wall that read: "Screw it up yourself, or bring it to me first."
It made sense, working on something somone else had already started was a pain in the butt. And often times those customers that came to us like that became repeat customers in the future.nredfor88, alds, Dave_in_AZ and 4 others Thank this.
