radio static goes away when braking

    HA! Got me, electrical always baffled me, but I think, maybe, when you put on the brakes, it helps complete a circuit, usually a bad ground. Run another ground from the frame to the cab, see if that helps.

    Yeah, this one makes zero sense.

    Usually with this sort of thing hitting the brakes would MAKE noise, not kill it.

    The problem with these new trucks is that all the electronics are integrated onto a single buss.
    Had a similar problem once in a Volvo, the radio was irritating to listen to. Ran the radio power wire straight to the battery buss, installed a fuse holder problem solved.
