Are there any companies that doesn't go back 5 yrs. I have a 1 year CDL A experience but let my license expire . I would love to get back into the big rig. I was doing local deliveries delivering car parts. I drove 500 miles daily in a box truck from 08/2020-01/2022. Company just been bought out.

Where is your location?
Which type driving do you want?

FMCSA’s Entry Level Driver Training (ELDT) regulations set the baseline for training requirements for entry-level drivers.
- Obtain a Class A or Class B CDL for the first time;
- Upgrade an existing Class B CDL to a Class A CDL; or.
- Obtain a school bus (S), passenger (P), or hazardous materials (H) endorsement for the first time.

I want to obtain a Class A again. I drove a split 10 just need a little training to knock the rust off. -
Some cdl schools have refresher courses.
Also, think about attending a trucking company cdl school. -
CDL expire? What does that mean? Once it is obtained, it is with you, unless you refuse to keep it by being lazy to provide DMV with intrastate.

You are going to have to find a carrier that will train you. Some of the information @Chinatown posted is a start. Stop worrying about job gaps. Just list what you have. Don't make this process harder than it need be. -
