That would be nice... as it was he walked up to my door with dollar signs in his eyes. His first question was "What is the weight of this combination?" I told him 83550 with full tanks, probably 83400 now. He asked for my logbook, and some other stuff. I had the OS/OW permit from the state right on top. He looked at it, and said..."awwww hell....go on."Bret1984, RockinChair and Dadetrucking305 Thank this.

Absolutely everyone right now! Problem is that it's mostly road drivers with no oilfield experience coming here now. The overwhelming vast majority don't last in the oilfield. I came from the road to the oilfield however I'm an anomaly. Now I wouldn't last long on the road. I can pretty much only do oilfield. Most road drivers however just can't hang. I don't know why. You get way more time off and way more money in the oilfield. I think it's just the fact that you actually have to get off the truck. In the oilfield not all of the work is in the drivers seat so you can't get too fat. You actually have to climb down out of your cab and do stuff.

Well I appreciate you brother and I appreciate this thread.
I got my CDL just before the industry went tets up in 2014 and the timing has never worked out for me. When oil is up I always seem to be busy , but one day i plan to do a stint in southern new mexico.
For the last few years you have been one of the few voices giving us the temperature of the permian basin
As for your reprobate job hopping tenancies, those benefit us as well as you are sampling a bigger slice of whats available
So hop on brother,hop on
Bret1984 Thanks this. -
