He shouldn’t be handling a firearm if he doesn't know the difference between a blank and a bullet.

    JoeyJunk and Boondock Thank this.

Yes, I can, and do blame him. 1st rule of handling a gun, any gun, it's loaded. Somebody handed him a firearm and he did not himself clear it. Period.

This happened to Bruce Lee's son years ago on the set of the movie "The Crow".
He was killed by a prop gun. I can't remember all the details though.

And, also, Jon Erik Hexum the star of Voyagers was playing around with a prop gun when he put it to his head and pulled the trigger not knowing that they are still dangerous even when loaded with blanks.

    ^^^^^^^^ Dis rat cheer ^^^^^^^^

If a certified FBI/CIA firearms instructor handed you a gun and told you to point it at someone & pull the trigger.... would you just point & pull the rigger without checking it?

I mean, above all rules... this is the #1 rule in firearms safety... NEVER point a gun at anything you don't intend to shoot... Never.. period.
A gun is ALWAYS considered loaded & dangerous until proven otherwise. End of story.
A 9 year old knows better than that. However, its quite obvious Alec Baldwin in not as smart as a 9 year old. Everyone knows that.

They had bullets with a primer, but no powder to look like real ones. Then they also had blanks. They had previously pulled the trigger on one with a primer, and it was enough to lodge the bullet part way in the barrel, and nobody knew it. Then, they pulled the trigger on a blank, and it fired the rest of the way. 44 Magnum, if I remember correctly.

    Boondock Thanks this.
