We only have bears and cold to worry about here. In Australia, every got dang creature that walks swims or crawls will kill you.

I asked the Gurus on the Zrx board and they said could be some kind of spring in the shift mechanism. It was shifting fine, then it didnt. First gear and neutral is all its got. The Clowns at the shop I took it to, said they got it to shift up and down thru all the gears once, then couldnt repeat it. Its got 52k on it, original clutch. It needs a clutch slave, of which I have a new one sitting in front of me. Dont think thats the issue.
Dont beat on the bike, have owned it 14 years.

This little guy, keeps the fork engaged with the pawl to turn the drum. But if it can go into first and neutral it might not be it. Usually when it breaks the fork won't engage the pawl at all and no gears. unless it's just stretched or something but I've never seen it.
