Par for the course with that guy it seems. Only wants the handouts, and free stuff. I don’t know the guy but seems he’s always looking for the next handout. Seems more like truckers joke

Are you still working here? If so how you liking it. Brother and I team and we’re thinking about going with gp
-
I’m no longer with them. I have my own truck now. It’s a good company. Personally the worst part with them was short runs. You probably won’t have that issue running team. Everyone there was always nice, great equipment. Good luck

Top 50% of your truck's category (make/model, epu/no epu) for fuel economy across the fleet

I lasted about 2 weeks with them. Just made me realize I didn’t want to do OTR any more. Not a bad company, great facility, nice equipment, but sat way too much, waiting to be loaded 5, 6 hours at times. People were nice, I just got a weird vibe, but that’s me. There are plenty of drivers who do well there.

Glad I’m not the only one who got the weird vibe. I was there 5-6 months. Spent twice as much time in a dock with them each week doing spot market freight 600 miles runs than I do pulling reefer where I’m at now.
-
I definitely got the odd vibe as well… really couldn’t put my finger on it, I thought of it sorta like it never felt (homie) per se. I thought it was weird after 1 night in a hotel, they put you sleeping in your truck. Not that that would be bad, if I was waiting on a load. My badge wouldn’t work the door after like 5pm
-
It only worked on the door clear around the other side of the building. I never got the warm fuzzies there. I ran a lot of the same routes I ran with the company I left to go there, even went to a couple of the same places to pickup/deliver.

Am I the only one who got stuck doing a recovery before I was assigned a truck?

Everyone in my class got trucks @ HQ. I came to orientation there were like 3 of us. I have several friends still there and they love it. My truck finally came and I left for my own deal. They really seem to be good folks there they just done me in with there day runs. I had two dispatchers that could keep me moving and never had me going to HQ. After they left I got two that literally ran me out and back to HQ each trip. I was at HQ twice in 4 months to 3x week and doing 34s there. A long weekend run became 700 miles from fri-Monday.
