Looks like pallet wood and stickers (stickers usually have a groove in the center of one side)
Usually you want them tight packed. Have never tarped these loads.D.Tibbitt, cke, shooter19802003 and 1 other person Thank this. -
They were super loose.D.Tibbitt, cke and shooter19802003 Thank this.

Never seen a pallet made of 2x6’s, that and they’re only 2’ long and that’s just a wee bit short for a pallet.
-
And then? You can tighten your straps until they sing but that isn't going to secure that load.D.Tibbitt, cke and shooter19802003 Thank this.

Had a place that used to take the 2X6 and rip into 2X3 for stickers.D.Tibbitt, cke, shooter19802003 and 1 other person Thank this.

First of all, the shipper should have them turned the other direction on those pallets. They are banded, look close you can see it. Then use 4' V boards so the strap is securing the whole thing. Both the shipper and driver are idiots on this load, but ultimately the driver is gonna be responsible when one wiggles out and goes through someone's windshield.
Driver could also throw a tarp on to keep anything from falling out if it comes loose. -
