Honestly, I have no idea how I didn't lay waste to that trans. I drove that truck off/on for awhile. Never could get it right. That was a grind it, till you find it kinda thing for me. Then put your foot in it for 20min and try it again. Ugh

Yeah they would have made a killing selling gliders from '09 - '13. I could never figure why they didn't ditch the maxforce with all the problems it had. Guess that's why I don't make that big CEO $.

For what, I don't think they had a Plan B In-house engine. They backed themselves into a corner with the Enhanced EGR sales pitch that excluded DEF. Think back to that time frame, people were scared ****less of what was coming. They built and sold a bunch to the mega's and then realized they had a product that was unfixable if they were to meet emission standards. Came out of a screaming jimmy with a 10, to a U model 300 with the 5. Yeah, it took a little bit to get used to. Between gears, you'd grab your coffee cup, take a drink, set it back down, then slide it in. Man, would that U pull. I wish I could find a descent one. It would be perfect for what I'm doing now...
