Best large torque wrench 500 ft/lb

Have no read all across the thread, the question is.. what are you doing?? Taking wheels off? Rust, debris, time... makes it to 1000 bls plus, Pointless post..

PS: I use Makita 3 5MaH wrenches, half inch on everything, I have a "meat grinder" to break the wheel nuts, what is your goal?

 

It's literally right there in the question. He wants to torque his lugs. How many people torque their lugs OFF?

 

I got that 3/4 drive amazon special. Seems pretty decent. I wouldn't go with anything less that 3/4 drive and longer the better

 

I've got a Mac 3/4" drive. About $800. Lasted about 10 years. Had to get the head rebuilt last summer and got the calibration checked. Was still in range and only cost me $300 to get fixed. Going to have it my entire career.

 

Usually torque wrenches are most accurate in the middle of their scale. Most 3/4" drive are good to 600 ft-lbs. With the spec range they give for lug nuts it won't be an issue.

 

I kinda figured the big 3 (Snap-on, Mac & Matco) would warranty that.
