A log app is the same as paper logs. If you’re running paper they can give you a time out.

Good luck waiting for your Keep Trucking gateway. I’m sure you were told you’ll have it in “two weeks”..you’ll wait at least 6.

Don’t bother trying to cancel through them either, it’s a game they play. Do what I did and escalate it directly to your credit card company/ Bank.

Took me almost four months to get reimbursed.

Big road ELD is what I ended up getting and I had everything and more delivered to my front door in two days.

 

I’m one who they tried playing their game with..unfortunately for them I don’t deal well with being lied to.

I got reimbursed in two or three weeks, I got real nasty with them though.

 

Got put out of service in Tennessee for the same thing with keep trucking. Eld has to be connected to the truck to show mileage location and engine hours. Put me out of service for 10 hours then let me go. I now use samsara which I like

 

Best product is debatable, I use the build in ELD on my Garmin GPS and never had an issue. No monthly payments, subscription or anything of that matters. To me that's hard to beat. Not good looking for sure but it does the job. I feel like if the software doesn't let you cheat, then they are all the same.

 

I bought that Garmin that plugs into your diagnostic port and wanted to use their app, but that thing makes my truck throw all kinds of codes and most of my gauges don’t work.

 

The garmin may by using the wrong data bus. My elog does the same at times when going over 70 mph even using the correct databus. Usually had to do with bendix traction control module

 

Not sure why it does that, mine has no issues whatsoever. My only complain is with the maps but ELD is perfect for now.

 

I just purchased a new truck and have KT
I was told by the company I’m leased to that there’s a way to use the app like paper logs and when I get to the new truck ( tomorrow ) to call them and they’ll put it on manual mode and I would have my previous 8 days and use it like paper
Not sure yet but I think I’m going to also use my paper log bringing it home

In this OP case. He let you go after 10 because he knew for a fact you recently had that 10 hour break, prior that he had no real clue
