Good day everyone! Basically, I hate my current job and have for several years so looking for new challenges. I have always been intrigued by the trucking business and now getting serious at changing it up and following what I think would be a great way to finish out my final years until I retire. I'm trying to learn all I can (without overthinking it) about this industry and came across this site and I love it! So I will be checking out all I can and I hope to learn alot from you guys and gals. Cheers!
Maybe starting over at 48 in Iowa

That's a good plan. Let us know what you want; local, regional, OTR (long haul), and we'll help you get a good start.
MidwestResident and Siinman Thank this. -
Thank you for the response! I think I am looking more local/regional at this point to stay closer to home for now. OTR is appealing but not in the cards at this point.MidwestResident and Chinatown Thank this.

How close are you to Charles City?

I am south of there a few hours. I am just south of Des Moines about 15 minutes.

Started a truck driving career at 52. Wish I would have done it sooner. 12 years of sales and sales management. 15 years of law enforcement before I made the decision to go OTR.
