My brother was a moderator on a chainsaw and logging forum. He said it was a constant brawl between the loggers and the homeowners. Kind of a Pros vs. Joes thing.

Moderator on a tree killing forum? Good luck with that! Talk about a sack full of of mad badgers.
I don't think there's a log trucking forum on here. I wonder why that is?
[narrators voice] It's because you have to have learned your letters and numbers in the 6th grade

What it was mostly was weekend warriors who would buy 2000 bucks worth of equipment to cut down a firewood tree in their backyard. They'd usually do it poorly too, and then post fifteen pictures that only underscored how lacking in skill they were and how lucky they were to be alive.
The other side of the fence were people who make their living cutting trees and don't suffer fools in any way shape or form. Guaranteed bad mix.
I asked my brother how he stood it...he's a faller...and he said he kept hoping that instead of banning people they'd let him start shooting them. It didn't work out so he went back to the woods.

The reason that there aren't more loggers on here is that they're usually too tired from doing it all day to talk about it half the night. Except skidder operators. They never sleep unless it's in the crummy. They all have size eighteen necks and size three hats. It's a known fact that you lose IQ points for every day you run skidder.

Let me know if you ever come through this way. We got a spot we frequent down by the water that’s always a good time! And good eating! Crabs and cold beer with a few orange crush’s mixed in is a great day!
