Dismissed Felony, do you think I’ll have a chance in trucking?

I’ll take that advice and seek that info when I find a place I see a beginning with. Thank you!

Yeah Hogan was talking to me about a dedicated family dollar account running in AZ, NM, TX, and CO. I’d hate doing that in the heat of the summer. Like you said those tiny alley’s (esp as a new driver) and disgruntled employees I’d have to rely on to keep the rollers/conveyer belt moving would frustrate the hell out of me.

Typically you will ask a recruiter a question and they will say they will ask someone or they will tell you later. They'll forget to give you an answer and keep asking you to keep taking steps toward working for the company. While it's good to have details in writing, it's still hard to enforce those notes. You want to portray a friendly cooperative attitude but keep bring the recruiter's sales pitch back to the question you need answered. Don't expect to change a company's pay and conditions to what you want. So you put your effort into finding out what are the ACTUAL pay and conditions, from other sources, and then decide if that is acceptable to you.

Stay away from those Dollar General accounts. Many drivers have been on the forum looking for work because they were fired from Dollar General accounts. Think about backing a 53 ft. trailer, using a sleeper truck, through a Dollar Store parking lot. The lots aren't set up for trucks and there's no dock to unload. Very easy to bump a car trying to do all that. Bump a car and you're fired.
