What fuel Milage are you getting in VOLVO VNL 860

Air dog and hotshot don't increase mpg. They just seperate fools from their money.

Want more mpg? Slow down.

All areo semis get 6-8 mpg depending on load and terrain.

 

I did not sit in 860 yet but rented a new T680 with X15 in it for a few days - which 860s may be also equipped with, and was impressed with the mpg in the neighborhood of 8.00 mpg in the summer time. That's at least 1.5-2.0 mpg better from my ISX. At the price of $4.50 - $5.00 per gallon, the fuel mileage starts to really matter.

 

The guys spec’ing trucks to run below 1000 rpm (mostly Mack and Volvo guys) have seen benefits from the Air Dog.

 

Are you on Instagram? If you are you could look up hellbenthagan, he’s running Mack’s and has them set up to where they’re getting 9’s and pushing 10 mpg with drivers in them. He’s pretty knowledgeable when it comes to setting up the Volvo / Mack power train.

 

He’d be a good one to ask about the Air Dog too. He runs it on his trucks.
